Chobe National park
Chobe National Park is Botswana’s first national park, and also the most biologically diverse. Located in the north of the country, it is Botswana’s third largest park, after Central Kalahari Game Reserve and Gemsbok National Park, and has one of the greatest concentrations of game in all of Africa. This park is noted for having a population of lions which prey on elephants, mostly calves or juveniles, but also subadults.
Victoria Falls
Victoria Falls, also known as Mosi-oa-Tunya (“The Smoke That Thunders”), is a massive waterfall on the Zambezi River, forming the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe, and is considered the world’s largest sheet of falling water.
Makgadikgadi pans
Located in the center of the arid savanna of northeastern Botswana, the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park enjoys a stunning setting. Situated southeast of the Okavango Delta, this 3,900 square kilometer salt flat is regarded as one of the biggest in the world. In addition, the National Park is surrounded by the Kalahari Desert, which enhances the breathtaking grandeur of this historic natural region.
Moremi Game Reserve
Situated in Botswana on the eastern side of the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve shares a boundary with Chobe National Park. Covering 5,000 square kilometers, it includes a fifth of the Okavango Delta and features a remarkable scenery of islands, floodplains, lagoons, and thick acacia woodlands. Moremi Tongue and Chiefs Island are two of the reserve’s natural highlights.
Central kalahari game reserve
The Central Kalahari Game Reserve is the largest game reserve in the world. It was originally established in 1961 with the aim of serving as a residence of sanctuary for the san, located in Kalahari (Botswana) for them to live their way of life without intrusion. San naturally are hunters and gatherers, they live most of their life in the bush. They are nick-named bush man. Central Kalahari game Reserve (CKGR) has a dense concentration of herbivores and long grasses that accompany predators. However, there is camping in the game reserve.
